The 400 Crew takes its name from its place of origin: 400 McCowan Road; a Toronto Community Housing building in the McCowan Road and Eglinton Ave. East area of Scarborough, Ontario. Police alleged this gang, along side the MNE Crew, are involved in trafficking guns and drugs well beyond that neighbourhood and into the rest of the city of Toronto and Durham region. Although the core members of this gang are African Canadian, many of its associates come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Police also allege the 400 Crew were responsible for many violent confrontations involving firearms around the city of Toronto. Although police label youths from this area as a 'Real criminal organization', workers and area residents Fear the existence of this gang and claim the police are spreading the Blood! Rather than recognizing a Large Crew As a Gang its Really a ROUTE. .
