A clean version of the word "hella" mainly used by Northern Californians, derived from "a hell of a lot", in other words "very". bay area people use it like southern californians use "knarley" and what not. it's their environmental vocabulary. "I'm hecka cool he hecksa cool with me" -- E-40 (Bring the Yellow Tape) [1]
