Avalon Gangster Crips
From Rap Dictionary
The Avalon Gangster Crips are an Afro-American street gang founded in 1972 by Jamel "The God Father" Barnes east of the 110 Freeway in South Central, Los Angeles. Believed to be one of the original East Side Crips set, this gang's moniker derives from a major thoroughfare that runs north and south through Los Angeles called Avalon Boulevard (their territory is stretched out along that road). The Avalon Gangster Crips identify themselves under the Gangster Crips/East Side Crips/Crip Gang card and have four sub sets: Avalon 40's Crip, Avalon Gangster Crips 53, Avalon Gangster Crip 116, Avalon Garden Crips 88. They are enemies of all East Coast Crips, Gangster Crips (42, 43, 48, 87 Gangster Crips and 97 Gangster Crips), all Neighbor Hood Crips, Family Swan Bloods, the Mad Swan Blood gang, 52 Pueblo Bishops (although their shared hatred for the Blood Stone Villians have them engaged in a truce), the Blood Stone Villians, Blood Stone Pirus, Miller Gangster Bloods, Bounty Hunters Watts, Hacienda Village Bloods, Circle City Piru, Rollin 30's Harlem Crips and the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips. Although each subset of the Avalon Gangster Crips have their own alliances and rivalries, most of them are generally allies of the Eight Tray Gangster Crips, all Hustler Crip gangs, all Broadway Gangster Crips, all Kitchen Crips and all Main Street Mafia Crips along with the rest of the Avalon Crip Family. Members of this gang are known to wear Atlanta Braves or Oakland A's sports apparel along with the Crips traditional blue color.
