Lime Hood Pirus
The East Side (E/S) Lime Hood Pirus, also known as "Lime Hood Bompton Piru", are a predominantly African-American street gang located on the east side of Compton, California. Their neighborhood stretches from Rosecrans Avenue to Compton Blvd, between Atlantic Avenue to Gibson Avenue. The name of this set derives from a popular residential street in their neighborhood called “Lime Street”. The Lime Hood Pirus originated over three decades ago, and are still active to this present day. Members of this gang often wear green article clothing to represent “Lime” along with burgundy article clothing, which represent "Piru". They share parts of their territory with the Compton Varrio 70's, a known rival. Other Hispanic rival gangs include the Compton Varrio Chicano Gang, Compton Varrio Segundo, Compton Varrio Lokos 13 and other various Sureño gangs. Crip rivals include the Duccy Hood Compton Crips, Ward Lane Compton Crips, Kelly Park Compton Crips, Neighborhood Compton Crips, Atlantic Drive Compton Crips and the South Side Compton Crips. The Lime Hood Pirus are friendly towards the Mob Piru, Holly Hood Pirus and Cross Atlantic Piru.
