Shades of Culture
Canadian rap trio hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The group formed in 1991 with members DShade, Revolution and DJ Storm. They are considered one of the few pioneers in the Canadian francophone hip hop scene. Their debut album, also crossover from francophone's, Mindstate, was released in 1998, with singles such as, "Island I'm from" and "Mindstate" featuring Dessy Di Lauro. Which was followed by 2000's "A Little bit about us", which consisted tracks they recorded between 1992 and 1997.
