The South Side Falstaff Crips are a territorial street gang whose roots can be traced back to 20, 30 and 40 Falstaff Avenue; 3 subsidized high rise buildings owned by the TCHC situated by Jane Street and Falstaff Avenue just south of Wilson Avenue in the Downsview section of North York in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Believed to have been founded in the early to mid 1990's, authorities claim active members of this gang trafficked cocaine and marijuana at street level with a high tendency for violence. The Falstaff Crips are cliqued up with the Trethewey Gangsta Killaz, which is evident with members from both sets claiming "South Side" in reference to their respective turfs being located south of Wilson Avenue, which acts as an unofficial divider between gangs situated along north/south Jane Street. Members of the Falstaff Crips have been known to sport brown (along with traditional blue/grey) bandannas as to represent the collective crew known as "Brown Bricks" (which is also the moniker used in reference to the high-rises). The Falstaff Crips gained many enemies since its conception, with its most heated and long-standing rivalry being with the Chalkfarm Bloods, whose territory is based just north of Wilson Avenue. Other rivals include the South Side Connection Bloods gang, The Lanes Crew, Five Point Generalz, the Jamestown Crew, Stovetop Rexdale Crips and the Tandridge Rexdale Crips. However, members of the Falstaff Crips are cliqued up with the Trethewey Gangsta Killaz and are friendly towards the Up-Top Driftwood Crips, South Side Gatorz, and the All Crips Gang. In May, 2010, Police made 71 arrests during pre-dawn raids in the GTA and Ottawa area as part of an investigation into two street gangs in northwest Toronto. "Project Corral", which began in August in response to a spike in violent crime, focused on the Falstaff Crips and the Five Point Generalz . Police seized 19 firearms, $30,000 cash, $10,500 in casino cheques, more than 10,000 ecstasy pills, cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, hashish oil, diamonds, body armour and motor vehicles. The investigation also uncovered that a third international gang with roots in Jamaica, the Shower Posse, help facilitate the criminal activities of the Falstaff Crips and the Five Point Generals by supplying them with narcotics and weapons .
