Ward Lane Compton Crips
The East Side (E/S) Ward Lane Compton Crips are a small primarily African-American street gang located in the eastern section of Compton, California. Their neighborhood is situated east of Long Beach Blvd, between Compton Blvd and Alondra Blvd. directly east of the South Side Compton Crips and west of the Holly Hood Pirus. This gang's name derives from “Ward Avenue”, a residential street between Essay Avenue and Bullis Road. The Ward Lane Compton Crips have been active for over twenty years and have mainly feuded with Piru gangs on the east side of Compton such as the Holly Hood Pirus, Lueders Park Piru, Mob Piru, Elm Street Piru, Lime Hood Pirus and Cross Atlantic Piru. Like many other Crip gangs, the Ward Lanes have many Crip rivals such as the Poccet Hood Compton Crips, Palmer Blocc Compton Crips, Neighborhood Compton Crips and the Santana Blocc Compton Crips. How ever, members have traditionally been friendly with other various Crip sets such as the Duccy Hood Compton Crips, South Side Compton Crips, Nutty Blocc Compton Crips, the Original Front Hood Compton Crips and Atlantic Drive Compton Crips. Mexican rival gangs include the Compton Varrio Tortilla Flats, Compton Varrio 70's and the Compton Varrio Largo 36.
