52 Pueblo Bishop Bloods
The East Side (E/S) Pueblo Bishop Bloods are a long-standing African-American street gang located in South East Los Angeles, California within the LAPD's Newton Division and is headquartered in the Pueblo Del Rio housing project, but claim much of the surrounding area as their turf as well. Their territory lies between Slauson Avenue in the South to 50th Street in the North and between Alameda Street in the East and Compton Avenue in the West. Their territory is often referred to as the “Low Bottoms” because of the low numeric numbering of the residential streets. The 52 Pueblo Bishops are their main clique, indicating that this gang controls E 52 street and that the territory they control is within the Pueblo Del Rio housing project, but there is also a clique located on 54th Street. In 1972, the 92 Bishops was established by Bobby Lavender after his friend was shot and killed by the East Side Crips. Even though the Pueblos traditionally had a close relationship with the 92 Bishops, they are actually cliqued up with the Be-Bop Watts Bloods, who are usually involved in their conflicts. The alliance between the Pueblos and the Be-Bop Watts Bloods is referred to as the "Be-Bop Watts Bishop Bloods" alliance. The Pueblos are also friendly towards the Oriental Boyz who share the Pueblo Del Rio housing project with them. By the late 1990s, the Pueblos had also established a truce between themselves, the 52 Broadway Gangster Crips and the 53 Avalon Gangster Crips to combat the 4 Pacc, 6 Pacc East Coast Crips as well as their longest and most bitter rivals: the Blood Stone Villains . This alliance has caused animosity amongst a large number of Blood gangs in South Los Angeles. Most Bloods find Blood-Crip alliances acceptable so long as the alliances are made to battle other Crips and not fellow Bloods. Due to this fact, the Pueblos have fallen out of favor with a number of their fellow Blood allies. The Pueblos are also rivals of the Mad Swan Bloods, 48 Gangster Crips, 42 Gangster Crips, 43 Gangster Crips, the Menlo Crips, 59 East Coast Crips, the 6 Pacc East Coast Crips and the Hispanic Varrio 38th Street. Police estimate The Pueblo Bishop gang has over 200 members and its primary activities included drug sales, robberies and shootings.
"ES" stands for "Eastside", "Pueblos" is the gang's name, the "1" and "CK" means "Crip Killers". They also state their enemies: "38" is refering to Varrio 38th Street, "ECC" is "East Coast Crips and "BSV" is Blood Stone Villians. Each name is followed by the letter "K" which stands for "Killer".
