The East Side (E/S) Spook Town Compton Crips are an African American street gang located in the eastern region of Compton, California. Founded in the 1970s, the Spook Town Crips were the first Crip gang to form on the east side of Compton along with the Santana Blocc Compton Crips. Their territory stretches from Alondra Blvd. in the North to Artesia Blvd. in the South. The heart of their neighborhood is around Tamarind Avenue, between Willowbrook Avenue and Alameda Street. Members of this gang are known to sport brown articles of clothing along with the traditional blue color associated with the Crips. The main clique of this gang is the 1200 Blocc and can be found around the Tamarind Avenue and Tichenor Street area. The Spook Town Crips are cliqued up with the Acacia Blocc Compton Crips as well as the Farm Dog Compton Crips and have been so for over 20 years. The alliance between the 3 gangs is referred to as the A.T.F for "A"cacia, "T"own, "F"arms; the names of their respective gangs. This partnership came out of necessity in order to stave off attacks from larger rival gangs within their immediate area. Rivals such as the Poccet Hood Compton Crips, Nutty Blocc Compton Crips, the Santana Blocc Compton Crips and the Anzac Grape Compton Crips. The Spook Town Crips are also enemies of the Original Block Piru 151, 145 Neighborhood Pirus, Leuders Park Piru, Tree Top Pirus and the Holly Hood Pirus. Hispanic rivals include the Compton Varrio Tokers, Compton Varrio Tortilla Flats, Compton Varrio Alondra 13, Compton Varrio 70's, Compton Varrio 155 and the Compton Varrio Largo 36. In addition to their A.T.F affiliations, the Spook Town Crips are also friendly towards the Neighborhood Compton Crips, Kelly Park Compton Crips and the Grape Street Watts Crips. This gang was featured on the National Geographic television show called “LA Gang Wars” which also featured high-ranking members of the A.T.F [1].
