McGee - Trumpet, Producer, Arranger, Engineer, Jazz Artist First learned music in Atlanta Public Schools, attended the famous Booker T Washington High (Martin Luther King, Jr., Gladys Knight, Lena Horne, Dr. Louis Sullivan all attended BTW) Played with the group that became BRICK at Morris Brown College (Drum Line - Stomp The Yard) Later founded TRUSSEL at Virginia State University "LOVE INJECTION" Elektra/Asylum. Was Music Director for Evelyn Champagne King when she first recorded "SHAME". HIP HOP PIONEER played lead trumpet on all the Sugarhill Records hits by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, The Sugarhill Gang, The Sequence (w Angie Stone), The West Street Mob, Spoonie Gee, Trecherous Three, Funky Four + One, DJ Starsky, Grand Master Melle Mel.
In the late 80's taught music in Richmond, Virginia where Bill McGee he Mad Skillz (Donnie Lewis) and Danja Mowf (Adolphus Maples), he also mentored D'Angelo (Michael Archer) DJ Lonnie B and The SupaFriendz. Most of all of the rappers in the 90's from Richmond, Virginia worked with Dolla Bill McGee at some point. He and The SupaFriendz founded 804 FLAVA Records which was distributed by his FUNTOWN MUSIC.
