DMX is an African-American rapper from Yonkers, New York, who's real name is Damian Simmons. His rap name has a couple of meanings, one meaning is that the DM stands for his name Damian, and the X stands for Malcolm X, which is one of DMX's idols. The second meaning is that DM stands for Dark Man, and the X stands for X'd out of society, which is how DMX standed that he often feels when he gets high that he's x'd out of society, like he's all alone in this world. DMX is the founder & ceo of Bloodline Records, which is a record label branched off of Ruff Ryders Records.
