Purple Haze
- Purple Haze (Most of the time just referred to as "Haze") is a type of marijuana. Haze also has a certain strain (plant) of weed with a purple-like color.

The term was popularized by Jimi Hendrixxxxxxxxx.
(Hendrix could have been referring to the 'Purple Haze' acid that was available in the 60s, not grass smoke. I find this more likely given the times and the tone of the song. "Actin' funny/But I don't know why/'Scuse me while I kiss the sky"...that kind of says it all, doesn't it!)
