An old school, retired jersey that has been brought back to modern times. I.E. Jordan's high school jersey which can go for $400-500 each. "In a throwback jersey, with the throwback nikes" -- G-Unit (Stunt 101) [1]
Outside of hip-hop, anything old can be called a throwback, and it usually means "old but not cool" (old-fashioned), not "old and cool" (retro).
